About CalcPhi

CalcPhi is a free financial tools platform built for everyday investors, taxpayers, and borrowers across India, the USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK. We believe that understanding your financial numbers should never require a subscription, a spreadsheet, or a call to an advisor. Every calculator on this site is — and always will be — completely free.

What We Build

We build financial calculators paired with plain-English educational content. Each tool is designed to do two things at once: give you an accurate number, and help you understand what that number actually means for your financial decisions.

Our current catalogue spans investment calculators (SIP, lumpsum, step-up SIP), loan calculators (EMI, home loan, affordability), savings tools (PPF, FD, RD, NPS), and tax tools (income tax, HRA exemption) — with more added every month.

Every page follows the same structure: a precise definition of the financial instrument, the calculator tool, the underlying formula explained in plain language, real-world examples specific to the local market, a decision guide, and a comprehensive FAQ. This structure is deliberate — it ensures that whether you are a first-time investor or an experienced professional, you leave with both the number and the context.

Our Mission

Financial clarity should not be a privilege. The gap between what financial products promise and what they actually deliver — in numbers — is where most people make decisions they later regret. CalcPhi exists to close that gap. We show you the maths, explain the assumptions, and present the limitations honestly, so that every result you see is one you can trust and act on.

We do not sell financial products. We do not have sales targets. Our only incentive is to be the most accurate, most useful financial calculator on the internet for every query we cover.

Accuracy & Methodology

Every calculator on CalcPhi is built on the correct underlying financial formula for the instrument — not simplified approximations. Our formulas and rates are verified against authoritative sources:

Interest rates, tax slabs, and government scheme parameters (such as the PPF rate) are reviewed and updated every quarter to reflect the latest official notifications. Each page clearly states the date of last update and the financial year or period to which the figures apply.

Editorial Standards

Before any calculator page is published, the formula is independently verified against at least two authoritative sources. Real-world example outputs are cross-checked against the results of established financial institutions (such as bank FD calculators and AMC SIP calculators) to confirm accuracy within rounding tolerances.

When government rules, interest rates, or tax structures change — such as a revision to PPF rates or a new income tax budget announcement — affected pages are updated within 7 days of the official notification. The update date is always visible at the top of each page.

Who We Are

CalcPhi is developed and maintained by the team at Black Belt Code Labs, a technology company focused on building high-quality, useful web products. Black Belt Code Labs was founded with the belief that the best software products are ones that genuinely improve the lives of their users — not just the revenue lines of their creators.

CalcPhi is one of several products in the Black Belt Code Labs portfolio. It is operated as a free public resource and funded through non-intrusive advertising and affiliate partnerships that are always disclosed clearly on the relevant pages.
